Hello Ciprian,

to be honest I have not had these kind of probelms with temporary tables.
What kind do you use? “InMemory” or “TmpTable”?

Things you may want to check:

-	Delete AOC-files
-	Clear user-data
-	Refesh the cache-data

It sounds to me like one of these typical Dynamics AX-refresh problems…

Hope, I was able to help.

Regards
Hi,
I have the same issue but with adding a field in a temporary table (used in a data provider class).
So I first run a standard SSRS report.
Then I add a field in the Tmp table.
When running the report the second time I get an error :
Query execution failed for dataset 'LedgerJournalDS'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This is the message from Event viewer.
Restarting SQL Server Reporting Services, flushing AOS or restarting the AOS didn't work.
Do you have any idea what else could I try?
Thank you!

    Hi Chris,

what you could check is how much white/unused space is at the end of the report itself. This may cause the problem. A workaround could be to minimize this unused space.

    Doesn't work for me...
The Blank Page is only at the End - on the third page. Property CosumeContainerWhitespace is allready set true. Also the Body Width + Left margin + Right margin are together smaller than the Page Width although if this would be the problem i would have a blank page after every filled page. PageBreak property of all controls have been checked also - any other suggestions?

This happens because the AX application loaded inside SSRS has a metadata caching mechanism. The first time a report is requested it will go to the AOS metadata service and find out what the metadata structure is, and then cache it. So for subsequent runs of the report it just uses the cache. The cache will be cleared when the SSRS application domain is unloaded - this happens every 12 hours by default, or you can force a flush by editing the RSServerConfig file (just make a small edit and save it\'ll trigger an immediate flush).

Nice blog by the way!
Any luck on getting the AOS crashes solved? We're also experiencing unexplainable AOS crashes after the CU2 upgrade. Any hints/tricks/help would be appreciated.
Hi Vadim,

Thanks for the link to the MSDN-article.

Yes, you are right. If you size your database according to the expected size you can turn off auto growth and Instant File Initialization is not really needed.

Here is the scenario where Instant File Initialization helped us a lot: right now we are in a bigger Dynamics AX 2012 project and right now we are importing a large number of business data of our client. Even though we resize the database on a regular basis we miscalculated the amount of imported data, so auto growth helped us a lot and Instant File Initialization saved us a lot of time.

    want to add something:

Official MS doc: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175935.aspx

While it is a good feature, in practice it is not that much of importance: if you size your database according to the expected size in the beginning of a project and turn auto growth off (which is a general best practice), there won't be any need at all for having file growth and initialization issues.

cheers,
